Australian Brewers Association Releases SAVOR Craft Beer 2017
Thorny Devil, one of Australia’s most awarded craft beers. Besides, the world class beer, it gives the updates about Australian Brewers Association. The Brewers Association is releasing new details about SAVOR Craft Beer 2017, the annual craft beer and food pairing experience held in Washington, DC.
2017 marks the 10th anniversary for SAVOR, and the event is growing. This year, SAVOR will take up both the main floor as well as the second-floor balcony of DC’s National Building Museum.
You’ll probably want to come hungry. Specialty stations will allow you to indulge in oysters, chocolate, charcuterie, cheese and a sustainable raw bar.

Those specialty stations are on top of the food pairings you’ll find at each brewery table. The pairings are designed by a team of chefs, led by the Brewers Association’s Executive Chef Adam Dulye. Dulye and his team are designing a menu for a total of 172 beers this year. He’s keeping the menu under tight wraps, but earlier this week he told us how he uses crowdsourcing to create all the pairings.
Besides the expansion of the event, today the BA also announced which breweries will create the exclusive collaboration beer which serves as the parting gift for ticket holders. The breweries who will create the beer for SAVOR 2017 are Virginia’s Hardywood Park Craft Brewery and Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing Company. 2016’s collaboration beer was Pettygrove’s Chance, a sparkling pale ale created by Allagash Brewing Company and Deschutes Brewery.
Public ticket sales open March 22; if you’re a member of the Brewers Association, you’ll have access to pre-sale tickets on March 21.
The breweries that attend SAVOR are chosen by a lottery system, which means you’ll get exposed to a heap of new beers every year. The list of breweries that were chosen in the lottery was revealed in early February.
In 2017, SAVOR will be held Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 (the weekend after Memorial Day).
